Student of the Month

Chalk up another Student of the month for Ms Aliya Tubbs. Today we went to the student of the month assembly at Dreaming Summit Elementary School. Aliya was awarded Student of the Month with three others from her class. She was very excited about the balloons and Reese's Peanut Butter cups her mom got her. It's always a joy to see your kids do well.

Kids Church

On Sunday (09/20/2009) Charlotte invited us to her church to watch there kids church perform a play. Charlotte directed the play and it was great fun. We learned Jesus wants us to say uplifting words. Ky's puppet was imprisoned by his unkind words...The kids enjoyed the play.

Horses

We spent the first weekend in August at Uncle Will's house. We had a great time riding the horses and hangin out. It had been almost a year since I was up there last. The horse Aubrey and Garet were riding bolted on them during our ride. He was in a hurry to get back home for dinner. We told Garet he was a real Cowboy now. He did such a great job holding on. Needless to say they were a little scared. Ethan was able to ride his own horse by himself but when Aubrey's horse bolted Ethan got just a little nervous. Aubrey and Ethan have sworn off horseback riding...(Untill next time anyway)

LABOR DAY 2009

We had a great Labor Day 2009. We took the kids, my Mom and Gordon the the Tonto creek Fish Hatchery and had a picnic next to the creek. It was the end of a three day weekend of campers, so there was not a lot of fire wood. I just busted out the old Coleman stove. We ate yummy cheese burgers and hot dogs. I think we can all agree, food cooked outside just tastes better. We did find just enough flammables for delicious Smores tho.
We also had a great time introducing rock hopping to the next generation. It is one of my favorite past times. Walking in the creek with out getting wet. The kids had great fun...getting wet.
